Guided Inquiry Design® is a roadmap to successful inquiry-based learning. It was built from what we know about how students learn within an information-rich context. Guided Inquiry Design® puts the research into a practical teacher and student-friendly model where teachers become instructional designers and students ask great questions to learn." -About GId – Guided Inquiry Design. (2021, November 2). Guided Inquiry Design
It was important for us to implement a schoolwide research policy so students can:
Think critically while learning new concepts
Make decisions on how to use resources that are available in today’s world
Avoid cutting and pasting information due to traditional research methods
Learn strategies in locating, evaluating, and using a wide range of media
Collaborate in a community setting
Focus on learning how to learn instead of memorization or facts
