Academic Commons: aka, Hege Library

ACD: Assistant Community Director

ARC: Accessibility Resource Center

CAB: Campus Activities Board

CAPE: Career, Academic, and Personal Exploration.  CAPE is Guilford’s professional advising office. Advisors are called CAPE advisors.

CTC: Curriculum Transition Committee” is the group that designed the 2019 curriculum revision from the previous 1998 version.

FERPA: Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records (Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act).  Students sign a “FERPA” form that lets us know who we can talk to about their academic records.  They can identify their parents, guardians, significant others, or no one.
