Following the release of the Curriculum and Assessment review final report, the Creative Education Coalition respond - highlighting its impact on the delivery of creative and arts education in schools, and on the creative industries talent pipeline.
GuildHE and UKADIA, with a steering group of creative specialist higher education providers and Creative UK, have launched a new report ‘The Value of Creative Graduates’ that investigates and addresses the challenges of defining the value of creative graduates. It sets out the unique impact of creative degrees and creative pedagogy and evidences the significant contribution specialist creative institutions make to their regions, both culturally and economically, supported by case studies.
Following an intense day of panel sessions, workshops and keynote speeches at the Creative Education Summit, hosted by Birmingham City University’s prestigious Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC), the group has devised a clear action plan intended to restore value to the UK’s creative education system.
Ahead of party conference season, a coalition of creative and higher education organisations have launched their Creative Education Manifesto, calling on all political parties to commit collectively to restoring creative arts education.
