The Main Idea:
Our entire lives are filled with relationships, and over the past few months I've wondered: Who gets to decide? Every relationship in our lives is based on that question. Parents make the choices for children, judges and juries decide guilt, and corporations decide what consumers receive. But with all these relationships, when does the power turn into control? Who gave them all this power, and should they always have it? I plan to explore all those questions and more this year. Last year, I researched AI in law, and this year I aim to expand my research and learn more about the different types of law and relationships within all those different types.
About Me:
My name is Mahi B, and I've been interested in law ever since I entered high school. I knew that I wanted to serve as a voice for those who lacked one, and that led me to determine that the field of law was right for me. I'm excited to learn about the different types of law and the relationships within them to answer the ultimate question: Who gets to control the hardest decisions?
