Let's Grow

At Guidion we have a lot of talented interns and on-call workers. We have different jobs with different responsibilities. We prefer to hire only Service Desk employees externally. Once the challenge of the current job is over, we encourage on-call colleagues to look for the next challenge. We have identified this using the skills matrix.

Skills matrix

At the desk, a number of (mutually different) skills can be distinguished. In order to provide insight into the various skills, we use a so-called skills matrix. All skills are listed and the matrix makes it clear which growth paths are available. This way, an on-call worker can express his or her ambition and make conscious choices for a possible new challenge.

Each skill is divided into a number of levels. The level at which the on-call worker works within a skill depends on things like experience, knowledge and competences.

The levels per skill:
0 - No skill
1 - Beginner
2 - Competent
3 - Advanced
4 - Master

For each skill and level, you can see in the matrix in general terms what the tasks and associated activities and competences are. This gives you an insight into where the on-call worker stands within the skill(s) in the first instance. It also makes it clear what we expect from an on-call worker if, for example, they want to grow within a skill (deepening of knowledge), or if they want to acquire an additional skill.

If you have any further questions about the skills matrix, please stop by and see Dylan!

Stamp card

On-call workers don't only learn at the university or college, but also at Guidion! In line with our core value #Letsgrow, we actively contribute to their personal development. Through our internal training offer customized for them!

  • All ins and outs about which training courses we offer, when and how to register can be found here;

  • Every year everyone will receive a new stamp card by e-mail to fill their proverbial backpack with knowledge and skills. The stamp card has 5 stamps. It is up to the on-call worker which training courses/master classes they use the stamps for. For new colleagues, the stamp card can be found in the Trello board;

  • Registration is via letsgrow.guidion.com, there they can upload their stamp card and then they will receive a confirmation with a stamp card with an extra stamp;

  • On-call workers are paid during training courses that are necessary for them to do their job properly (such as the CX Masterclass and communication training). The other training courses and Master classes are on their own time. This is, of course, also explicitly stated.
