Guidion has a flat organisational structure with the smallest possible number of hierarchical layers. We choose short lines of communication, fast decision making and a high degree of transparency. This matches who we are. We follow a clear course and adjust it if necessary to achieve our goals. In practice, this means our organisational structure changes regularly. Don't worry, you'll get used to that soon enough.
Covid-19 has made it challenging to learn more about the interesting people we work with and their amazing talents? That's why we have our very own facebook on HiBob. Everyone working at Guidion can add and/or edit their own photo and text. This is your opportunity to describe your job/specialization/interests in your own (key) words, so colleagues know when to reach out and ask for your advice or help. We encourage you to get to know everyone working at Guidion. Take a look and start meeting new colleagues!
We have approximately 220 permanent employees with a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds as well as 110 on-call colleagues, mainly students who work for Guidion as a side job.
A large network of some 700 independent entrepreneurs, specialized in technical services, connect themselves with the Guidion platform. Starters and experienced specialists with a passion for technology in telecom and energy. Besides their connection with the Guidion platform, they work with/for other companies/clients as an entrepreneur. New to Guidion? Get in touch with an Expert! Been here longer? Below is an alphabetical overview of Guidion teams. There is no hierarchy. Each team has a lead and works closely with the Leadership Team to align vision, strategy and guidance. Together, the team leads form the News Hour. Teams work together extensively. They jointly determine how our long-term vision translates into short-term actions. This leads to well-coordinated quarterly goals, to which the entire organisation contributes.
Business Control
The Business Control team bridges finance and business. They provide reports and gather insights for the Leadership team, business managers and board. Direction is adjusted accordingly. In addition, the Business Control team acts as a business/sparring partner. They assess business cases and prepare forecasts in close cooperation with the Finance Control team.
Commercial
Guidion's Commercial team focuses on maintaining contacts with current partners as well as searching for new partners or services within the Telecom and Energy sectors. This team anticipates new trends, with smart home as a growth market. Marketing/Communication is also part of this team, for example. It supports the organization in communicating with all target groups and promotes our services through marketing.
Data
Ultimately, Guidion’s goal to be as data driven as possible. For this, the Data Team collects data linked to KPIs. By making data insightful, associated stakeholders can adjust where necessary. The Data Team not only looks at current data, but also makes forecasts.
Digital
The Digital Team consists of two departments: IT Operations and Software development. IT Operations offers IT support - these are the people to approach with computer issues. They are also responsible for IT infrastructure and information security. Software development, consisting of Team Nuna and Team Tectonic, take care of developing new features for Salesforce and our apps.
Facility
The Facility team ensures you can do your job as well and as pleasantly as possible. We're not just talking about a healthy lunch and daily dose of coffee, but also about facilitating practical matters such as pens, key tags and company cars.
Financial Control
The Financial Control team crunches numbers every day, focusing on what comes in and what goes out. Income we receive from partners, for example, or the payment of salaries. The team also works closely with Business Control.
Innovation
The innovation team is continuously engaged in generating, developing and implementing new ideas, products and processes. The team works with various departments and partners to align innovation with business strategy, customer needs and scalability. Agility, experimentation and learning from failure are our priority. Our goal is to drive growth, competitiveness and impact for Guidion by creating new value for customers and stakeholders. Some products we are responsible for are the Self Service for customers, the Home App for experts and route optimisation that ensures our experts have the most optimal routes. Let's work together and push the boundaries of what is possible!
Mature Operations
The Mature Operations team has three parts: expert management, workforce management and the service desk. Together, they are responsible for all 'mature' partners. These are mainly large partners such as Ziggo and T-Mobile, but can also be smaller players, providing there is a constant flow of tickets and processes are standardized. If this is not (yet) the case, partners are assigned to the New Business Operations team.
New Business Operations
When the Commercial Team welcomes a new partner, they knock on the door of New Business Operations. This team then puts all processes in place to make the partner is as happy as possible. They build a stable relationship, make forecasts and ensure a steady workload. Once all processes are standardized, the party is transferred to Mature Operations.
People
Every day, the People Team works to create an environment in which we can be at our ‘natural best’, safeguarding all related core values. This means the People team plays a major role in the application process, for example, and in ensuring the right match is found. In addition, the team focuses on behavior, structure and processes. The People Team is also responsible for payment of your salary.
Bleds
News Hour encourages teams to work well together and stimulates the smooth flow of information through the organisation. This group, which has become increasingly strategic over the years translates strategies into executable plans.
News Hour consists of team leads, supplemented by the Leadership team. Each News Hour member shares news from their own team with the News Hour group. News Hour members share this information in their teams and all the news from that week is shared in the Tweely on Monday. This way, everyone is up to date with relevant news. This enables a high degree of autonomy.
Ownership of Red Thread strategies is vested in the various News Hour members. They secure the ideas behind 'their' strategy and the breakdown into short-term actions using OKRs (objectives & key results).
The team shaping Guidion’s future consists of the CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CFO (Chief Financial Officer), CTO (Chief Digital Officer), CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) and CPO (Chief People Officer).

Guidion is long past the start-up phase. A mature organization needs a governance structure to match. Hence the formal Supervisory Board:
Hans van der Wind (chairman)
Tymen Selman (founder, major shareholder)
Afke Slager (strategist)
They are legally obliged to supervise management and weigh the interests of all stakeholders. There is a clear meeting schedule. Every week the CEO calls the major shareholder. There is a monthly call with Board and Management. And there are quarterly half-day meetings on current business and strategic issues. Annually, the Board discusses policy and budget. Interaction with the Board is pleasantly informal. Lines of communication are short. If the situation calls for it, we deviate from the formal agenda to discuss urgent matters directly. If conditions change substantially, there is room to adjust the budget during the year.
Crews take care of Guidion’s many initiatives and rituals. These groups of colleagues are jointly responsible for a specific theme. Would you like to join a crew and contribute ideas? Simply approach a crew member or email peopleandculture@guidion.net. If you have an idea for a new crew, there is plenty of room! The following crews are currently active at Guidion:
Guidion Green
The future is green! Together, we are committed to embed sustainability further into Guidion's business practices. The crew - each from a different department and with a different expertise - makes all colleagues aware of sustainable way of living and doing business. The initiatives are sometimes small as well as big: from sustainable food in the office to making the mechanics' transport go greener. This crew regularly shakes things up with striking insights and by making us reflect on ourselves. This is how we become more and more sustainable together!
Daily Crew
The Daily Crew consists of ringmasters who prepare and set up the Daily. Once a month they meet to see what is going well and what could be improved. In this way, the Daily has been a steady ritual for years, but each day is different and there is always room for creativity and innovation.
'Colleague of the Month' Crew
This crew makes sure that the 'Colleague of the Month' does not become a routine but is memorable every month! They read out the best nominations, put a colleague in the spotlight and ensure all candidates receive their nominations by email. This ritual could use an innovative upgrade, so if you have any ideas, contact People!
Share the Fun Crew
The Share the Fun crew organizes the Summer Party, Winter Party and specially themed get-togethers several times a year. The Share the Fun crew is always open to ideas and suggestions. Do you know of a great DJ, party deal or location or do you have (organizational) talents? Send an email to sharethefuncrew@guidion.net.
Pizza, Drinks & Questions Crew
The PDQ crew organises Pizza, Drinks and Questions two times a year: our unique management update (see more content under the Rituals section).
Diversity & Inclusion Crew
Together we make a difference! In September 2020, 14 colleagues started work on this important topic. They are trying to boost the culture of inclusivity and equality within Guidion. The crew does this by finding, evaluating and improving blind spots and creating awareness. In addition, they share knowledge and experiences with all other colleagues. A great example of a new crew with impact.
