An Arizona State Licensed Child Care Facility
The purpose of this program is to give the students on the job training to high school students who are interested in early childhood education. The students selected for this program have had a yearlong child development class. Students have also completed a 5-hour observation on the developmental stages of a preschool child.
Our preschool is a working early child development lab, which focuses on the developmental stages of a preschool child.

Here is a fun and easy craft with toilet paper rolls. The video shows how to do a few animals, but you can get as creative as you want with the animals you create!
Here are some fun songs the children love. They have instructions that are easy to follow along with and fun to dance to.
This song calls out actions for the kids to follow and then makes them freeze in between actions.
For this song, pretend that the room you are in is several locations in the wild. The song will lead you through these locations as you search for a bear.
Make your living room or bedroom into a campsite. Whether you have a real tent or need to make one with a blanket and some furniture, the experience of camping indoors can be fun and exciting.
All you need are a couple of blankets and some pillows to place inside your tent or fort. Some fun things to do when the tents are built are to read books, tell stories, look at the stars, and eat snacks.
This activity can be an opportunity for bonding and conversations to start.
1. I set out the objects, making sure also that I pick different colored items (I don’t want to confuse him with four yellow items).
2. I pointed to the objects and slowly said their names. I did this twice before asking my toddler, child, to say them with me.
3. I had child close his eyes (this is a skill in and of itself!!) and covered one object with a cup
4. Then I asked child “What’s Missing?”
A listening box is similar to a touch box or mystery bag. You place an object in a closed box or bag. The child reaches her hand inside the box or bag and tries to guess what’s inside. She uses her sense of touch to help her out. It’s the same concept with the listening box only she’ll use her sense of hearing to hear what’s inside the box.
1. Choose some objects that make noise to place in your box one item at a time. {Bells, rattles, crinkly paper, you get the idea.}2. Place one of the objects in the box. {Hide the items not in use in a separate box or bag.}3. Make noise with the object in the box.4. Ask your child what is making the noise. What is that sound? What makes this noise?5. Show the object to your child and let him make the noise.6. Repeat with new objects. Here are some ideas for what to put inside the eggs:
· bells· rice· pom poms· beans· marbles· beads {different sizes and materials}· wooden circles· puzzle pieces· milk caps· rocks· googly eyes
