We are excited to announce that we adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at GUHSD called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with GUHSD. 

Parent University is your go-to guide for understanding our online schools and learning how to best support your student. Inside, you’ll find essential steps, helpful resources, and easy-to-follow instructions for staying connected through tools like Canvas and ParentSquare. Whether your student attends OLA or GUO, Parent University will give you the knowledge and tools you need to help them succeed.

This account MUST be created for all GUO (Glendale Union Online) students. Students are required to work 10 hours per week per class or a minimum of 30 hours per week. Attendance is determined by students working in Canvas as well as a parent/guardian submitting a weekly time tracker through ParentVue.  

Students should do the following items DAILY:

• Attend school in person or online 

• Ask questions

• Login to Canvas

• Submit multiple assignments in each course

• Read emails in Canvas and Gmail

• Check grades

• Read Announcements

• Communicate with teachers

• Attend Webex meetings (if applicable)
