The Glendale Union High School District (GUHSD) is proud to be a leader in educational excellence in the Metro-Phoenix area. Founded in 1911 and comprised of ten high schools and three special programs, the urban district enrolls over 16,000 students. Washington High School 2007 graduate, Carlos Reyes, attended Georgetown
University. After graduation, he built his career in Global Internet Policy. His career choice derives from his love and appreciation for an
education embedded in community service and outreach.
GUHSD provides its students with excellent academic opportunities including Advanced Placement (AP) courses and dual-enrollment programs. Through these classes, students prepare to succeed in college, earn college credit and stand out in the college admission process.
Moon Valley High School 2015 graduate, Madison O’Neal, attended Yale University where she studied biomedical engineering. After discovering her passion for science and sharing it with others, she returned to her former high school to teach and give back to GUHSD students.
