Arizona residents with a verified* household income of less than $65,000 OR any enrolled member of one of Arizona’s 22 federally recognized tribes receive tuition coverage through a combination of scholarships and grants.
This scholarship covers the remaining cost, after the Pell Grant award and all other GCU institutional aid is applied, to attend GCU for tuition and fees (excluding parking, health insurance, housing and food-related expenses).
Eligibility:
- must qualify to receive the maximum Pell Grant amount as determined by completing the FAFSA
- minimum of a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA
$12,000 PER ACADEMIC YEAR FOR UP TO FOUR YEARS AT ONE OF ARIZONA'S PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES
You may be eligible if you:
Are an Arizona resident
Are a current graduating senior attending a public, private, charter, or home school
Will be a first-generation college student (neither parent, stepparent, or legal guardian holds a four-year degree in any country)
Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (weighted or unweighted)
Have a minimum test score of 1110 SAT, 22 ACT, or 72 CLT
Demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA
Plan to attend ASU-Tempe, NAU-Flagstaff, or UA-Tucson
Agree to live in on-campus housing during freshman and sophomore year
A full-ride program: Pays for tuition and mandatory fees, housing, and meals at ASU, NAU, or UArizona
Funding for international group seminar and individual study abroad
Personal mentoring from faculty and guidance in finding internships and research experiences
STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS
Top 5% of graduating class and at least 3.5 unweighted GPA
Submission of ACT (min 26) or SAT (min 1230) test scores
Demonstrate leadership in a variety of extracurricular activities
U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card holder) by time of application
Arizona residency for two years prior to entering university
The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. Recipients may use the Coolidge at any accredited college or university in the United States. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program.
The main criterion that distinguishes Coolidge Scholars is academic excellence. Secondary criteria include: demonstrated interest in public policy; an appreciation for the values Coolidge championed; as well as humility and service.
*The application has reccomender and essay components.
Eligibility requirements may vary from scholarship to scholarship, but the National Scholarship (value of up to $25,000) asks for:
Minimum 2.0 GPA
Demonstrated critical financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States immediately after high school graduation (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
Be a United States citizen
Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
