About Mr. Raper

Greetings students and parents,

My name is Brian Raper and this is my 15th year teaching Social Studies at Moon Valley High School. During my career, I have taught AP US History, US History, and World History and I have coached Freshman Football, Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track & Field. Moon Valley continues to carry on a tradition of excellence and high expectations and I will always be proud to call my self a ROCKET! After leaving Moon Valley, I had the privilege of attending Glendale Community College where I was able to compete in Track & Field as a decathlete. My teachers and coaches at Moon Valley taught me the necessary skills to excel both academically and athletically at the college level, while also ingraining in me a pride and confidence to demand the most of myself as I entered the professional world. This is my hope as an educator and it is my pleasure to build up young men and women of character on Moon Valley's campus each day.

I have been married to my wife, Amy, for 14 years and we have a 12 year old son, Conor, and a 5 year old daughter, Reese (pictures below). We love to travel, be outdoors, and cheer on America's Team... the Dallas Cowboys!!!!! Teaching and coaching have always been my second passions outside of my family, and being able to build up my students and athletes into men and women of character is truly a blessing.
