About Me

Hello there. Here is a little bit about me!

My name is Michael Jacobs and this is my 2nd year at Thunderbird High School and this is my 12th year as an Educator and Coach. I teach 3 sections of Math, ranging from Math Reasoning 3-4; 5-6 and Algebraic Reasoning. I am a district graduate and attended Moon Valley High School. Go Rockets! I played baseball in college and attended Phoenix College, West Virginia University and Lynn University before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Journalism. After completing my Bachelors degree I began teaching at Copper Canyon High School while working on my Masters Degree in Special Education. I took the Varsity Baseball job at Millennium High School where I taught for 5 years before leaving and transferring to Carl Hayden High School, home of the Falcon Robotics program, where I would spend the next 3 years teaching and coaching. Luckily, I pursued an open coaching position here at Thunderbird in 2016 as well as a Special Education position teaching Math. I am the Varsity Baseball Coach here at Thunderbird and enjoy spending my free time with my family, 3 lovely children, and friends, going swimming and attending major sporting events. I love teaching here at Thunderbird and am excited for the future.
