What is the ELPAC?
Why and when do students take ELPAC?
It's the English Learner Proficiency Assessment for California. The ELPAC is an exam that assesses a student’s English proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Students designated as English Learners take the ELPAC to determine their proficiency in English, which helps educators provide appropriate support to ensure academic success. Students take the test annually until they meet the criteria for reclassification. The test is typically administered in February each year, providing a snapshot of language skills to guide educators in tailoring language support to student needs.
