Why start in music?

Studies have shown that students who participate in music not only get higher test scores and are more prepared for life after High School, but also are more open-minded than those who don't participate in any of the arts.

Students are given the opportunity to learn an instrument of their choosing, it's never too late to learn! Even a year's worth of music class can improve a student's academic and life skills. Music skills can improve: pattern recognition, problem solving, Right/Left Brain coordination, hand-eye coordination, math skills, reading skills, abstract thinking, art appreciation, and the creative process. These are all skills that careers are looking for, and we teach them!

Outside of the classroom, we do outside events and trips to perform for our community and be ambassadors for our school. We are a part of home football games, and school events such as pep rallies to unite our school population.

We have a family atmosphere, where many students continue their friendships long after High School has ended. Students learn important skills such as: time management, responsibility, decision making, critiquing, social skills, public speaking, teamwork, budgeting, leadership, and much more!

We encourage your student to try us for the year. Most adults when asked what they most regret, they answer "I should have learned a musical instrument." It's not weird, uncool, or nerdy: it's a perfect way to better one's education and make their High School career memorable for years to come.
