About Me

Professional- I have been teaching for 22 years. I taught middle school for six years and I have been teaching at the high school level for 16 years now. I am originally from Ohio and I graduated from The Ohio State University in 1997 with a degree in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry. I was not sure what I wanted to do with my degree so I took a year off. After some time thinking about my future, I decided I wanted to become a teacher. I went back to school, at Cleveland State University, and earned my teaching degree. This took me two years. In my fourth year of teaching, I decided I wanted to earn my master's degree so I again went back to school. I earned my M.S. in Educational Administration in three years, graduating in 2008.

Personal- I have been married for ten years and I have an eight year old daughter named Scarlett. I have two dogs and I live in La Mesa. I love spending time with my family. I also love love love to go shopping with my daughter and working out! I definitely have OCD when it comes to having a clean house. I clean often! A typical weekend for me and my family includes working out, walking the dogs, going to the park, or going shopping.
