Career Technical Education
In the FBI program, students will take three Career Technical Education (CTE) courses. CTE provides hands-on learning experiences that combine academic knowledge with practical skills needed for the workplace. These courses focus on developing forensic and biotechnology laboratory skills, as well as essential life skills, to prepare students for success in any path they choose after high school.
Students will develop a variety of essential laboratory skills valued in the industry, including small-volume metrology and laboratory safety. They will also have the opportunity to take science-specific certification exams, allowing them to demonstrate their expertise and strengthen their college or career applications.
Students will gain valuable professional skills, such as resume writing and interviewing techniques. They will also complete certification courses focused on professional development, enhancing their job prospects in any career field—not just in biotechnology or forensic science.
