This two-year pathway is for students interested in the food service industry. Learn about restaurant and culinary occupations, and learn culinary skills to use in your job and your life. Students operate the Wigwam restaurant and they serve lunch to faculty and guest to the high school three days a week. Obtain a San Diego County Food Handlers Certificate.
Metal Design, Fabrication, and Welding is a two-year pathway. Over the course of 2 years students learn hands-on fundamentals of metal fabrication and the welding construction industry. Additionally, students enrolled in the program have the opportunity to earn American Welding Society welder certification, which is the first step in gaining employment in the welding field.
This two-year-minimum program provides training in a variety of areas within the construction and building trades industry, such as drywall installation and repair, roofing, electrical wiring, and installing plumbing fixtures.
This program is especially designed for the beginning art student. The goal of this class is to expose students to various styles of art and different techniques for creating art. It will focus on creating art pieces using pencil, ink, pastel, and tempera paint. Students will learn to design original artworks using the elements and principals of design as they relate to drawing and painting. Students will learn how to use perspective to create 3-D drawings.
This is a four-year regularly scheduled elective college-preparatory program for students with academic potential. AVID students are encouraged to take college prep courses and move into honors/advance placement courses.
This program covers the fundamentals of the art and technique of black and white photography. Students learn to use various types of cameras, from 35mm to digital.
This course is for students who are interested in helping to produce the school yearbook. All phases of production, including financing, are covered. The students assume responsibility for collecting the materials, designing, contracting the publisher, securing student payments and delivering the completed yearbook.

Spanish for Spanish Speakers is designed to help native speakers become more proficiently bilingual.
Students learn the basic grammatical structure of the language in its cultural context through a variety of activities, as well as carrying on simple conversations. General emphasis on listening speaking.

A course available to students who are interested in learning to play an orchestra or band instrument.
This is a performance course, in which students who play wind and percussion instruments rehearse and perform music from the standard wind band repertoire. During the fall football season, all concert band members should be enrolled in the marching band and participation in rehearsals and performances before, during, and after the regular school day, and non-school days will be mandatory and are part of the course curriculum.
This class offers instruction in basic techniques such as note reading and fingering. Students must provide their own guitar.
This class is a two-semester course and is for students who are interested in singing and music fundamentals. Participation in rehearsals and performances during and after the regular school day will be expected.
Beginning Drama will introduce you to the world of Theatre and its many aspects. In your first year you will not only learn the history and language of theatre, but you will also create and perform your own monologues and scenes with classmates. In addition, you will analyze modern plays and learn basic set design and creation as well.
