ALD courses (also known as designated ELD) are support classes for all students designated as English Learners (EL). These courses are required by law.
ECV offers many different levels to accommodate newcomers, students who have been EL since kindergarten, and everything in between. A description of these courses can be seen below.

Parents or guardians who wish to opt their child out of their designated ELD course should contact the main office. You will need to meet in person with the student's counselor and the assistant principal in order to waive the student's right to ELD support.
