Creating Your PSA

Getting Organized

When you gather information, you often end up with more information than you will actually use in your final project. The information may also be jumbled, and so it is helpful to organize it!

This involves:

  • curating (picking the best) information to support your project's message
  • placing information in an outline for your project, figuring out where information best fits
  • testing (questioning) your arguments (solutions) to ensure they are well thought out
  • figuring out what you want to say by starting to draft up scripts

Creating Responsibly

It is challenging to create a video legally and ethically when you wait until the last minute! Thus, you will be taking time to first locate and "bank" images before creating your video.

This involves:

  • brainstorming the types of images that will allow you to best tell your PSA "story"
  • searching for images that are Creative Commons licensed
  • banking (saving and documenting) images for use in your video

Fortunately, the activities throughout this unit have prepared you to easily insert references and attributions into your video.

This involves:

  • transferring source information from your Research Notes document
  • transferring image annotation information from your Image Banking document
