When deciding which general "Google" websites to use, consider if information is reliable. Below are some general websites to try.

An educational website (only country overviews are free)

Wikipedia can have a lot of helpful information, but practice using it is a "stepping stone" resource. Follow citation links in [brackets] to the sources for facts.

BONUS LIBRARY CHALLENGES

BONUS CHALLENGE #1:

Compare information from print books with information found online.

How much do facts differ?
What is the "age" difference for information you find?
Is it surprising how much has or has not changed?

For fun, look up your country in our library's 2002 encyclopedia set! Compare info with what you find online.

Search for WHHS library books with Discover. Use call number information to locate books in the library.

If using a book, find its copyright year on the back of the title page to know how old information is.

BONUS CHALLENGE #2:

After finding out the most recent population for your country, find a YouTube, TikTok, etc. channel/account that has an equivalent number of followers.
