E-Cig/Vape(CCN)

Vaping has become the #1 drug that is used within high schools. Vaping numbers have rised by almost 20 percent from the year 2011- 2015. Many people believe that vaping is safer than cigarettes, but scientists have found that vaping makes it 4 times more likely to start smoking either way. Nicotine is one of the most addictive things in the world, even if people try to stop, they can't. The amount of vapes purchased worldwide has increased by 9.8 million dollars, just within the span of 9 years.

Among youth, e-cigarettes are more popular than any traditional tobacco product. In 2015, the U.S. surgeon general reported that e-cigarette use among high school students had increased by 900 percent, and 40 percent of young e-cigarette users had never smoked regular tobacco.

The data above shows how vaping addiction has increased dramatically, over the past 10 years. In the 1st data set, you will see that vaping has passed the amount of cigarette use. At first, vaping was one of the drugs that people used very little of, but then it changed into something that is very common. The second data set shows how much money people are making off of vapes, this is very concerning because in the span of nine years, 10 million dollars were spent on vapes.
