The game continues until one player “declares” by arranging their entire hand into valid combinations. This requires at least two sequences, one of which must be a “pure sequence” (without any wild card). Upon declaration, the player shows their melds and discards their final card. The other players then tally the points from their unmelded cards, with face cards carrying higher values. The player with the lowest total score after several rounds is the winner.
Success in Rummy hinges on observation, memory, and smart discarding. Pay close attention to what your opponents pick from the discard pile to guess their plans. Discard high-point cards you cannot use early, and avoid discarding cards that might complete an opponent’s meld.
