A set is three or four cards of the same rank, like three queens or four jacks. You must have at least two combinations, and one of them must be a pure sequence—a run formed without using a joker or wild card. Some versions allow the use of jokers as substitutes for missing cards in sets or impure sequences.
The moment you have arranged all seven cards into valid groups, you may declare. This is done by placing your hand face-up on the table and announcing your combinations. Other players then have a final turn to discard and arrange their own hands. Points are usually scored based on the unmatched cards left in opponents' hands, with face cards carrying higher values. The player with the lowest cumulative score after several rounds is the overall winner.
