Middle School

BASIC

This session is for Grade 7 and 8 students that don’t have any volleyball experience or have very limited volleyball experience. The students will learn basic volleyball skills and game cues that will enable them to be more comfortable on the court and provide needed steppingstones to play the game of volleyball.

EXPERIENCED

This session is for Grade 7 and 8 students that attended one or more of our Development Sessions previously.  The students will continue to work on different volleyball skills (passing, setting, serving, hitting). They will be challenged with more difficult drills. They will also be given instructions about volleyball rules (rotation) and game play. The goal is to improve volleyball skills and to enable play in House League or on Rep teams.

Please note registration for the basic and experienced programs is done under the Middle school program. The club reserves the right to place the student in basic or experienced level based on the student skill level.

EXPERIENCED

This session is for High School students that have volleyball experience and want to bring their skills and game play to a higher level. Students are required to have at least one prior Development program session completed in order to participate in this group. The goal of this session is further development of skills, game cues, court awareness with intention to play in House League program and/or tryout for rep programs.

Please note registration for the basic and experienced programs is done under the High school program. The club reserves the right to place the student in basic or experienced level based on the student skill level.

House League

The Jr. Gryphons house league will feature a 4 team league for our senior level athletes (Youth athletes may seek special permission space permitting).  Athletes will be coached on game systems and positional play before being divided in to teams.  They will be given “practice” weeks throughout the season and the league will end with playoffs.
