About me
Hello,
I am Mr. Baker and this year I am teaching Math for 7th and 8th grades, Computers for Grades 6th, 7th & 8th grades, as well as Religion for 7a. With over 20 years of teaching experience I have taught 4th-8th Grade Math, Computers, Health, Gym, and several other subjects – all at various grade levels.
My education includes an Elementary Education Teaching Degree, Middle Level Math Degree, and a Masters Degree in Technology and Curriculum Design.
The teaching style I prefer is to “teach for understanding.” When a student can complete a problem AND explain the methodology, then that student has mastered the concept. A key philosophy in my classroom is respect. Respect for one’s self and for each other.
