I grew up in Southern California and attended college at the University of San Diego where I majored in Spanish and Latin American Studies. I called San Diego home for about 10 years, but started an incredible journey of international teaching and traveling in 2005. I've been fortunate to have a career that makes this possible ,and have lived in some pretty amazing places like Senegal, West Africa; Tortola, British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean; Bogota, Colombia; San Jose, Costa Rica; Mexico City, Mexico.

But, it was time to come back home. I now live in Carlsbad with my husband, Colombian Golden Retriever named Murphy Miguel Antonio, and my kitty from the Caribbean with two different colored eyes, named Isla (Island in Spanish). I'm super excited to be starting my newest adventure at Guajome Park Academy and look forward to a fun, albeit unique, year!

We have a lot of fabulous times ahead of us as we explore Spanish and some of the incredible countries where it is spoken. Be prepared not only for an exciting language experience, but for a virtual adventure of Latin America, as well!
