Bus Transportation Updates / Información acerca del Transporte
This webpage is intended to be a central location for communication and information for parents, students, and staff related to bus transportation. There will be regular updates if buses are running late as well as general information. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, there is a shortage of bus drivers nationally and locally and there will be frequent incidents where our contracted bus company First Student is unable to find drivers to cover certain routes on a daily basis. As these incidents occur, information will be posted below, via text, and also on through notifications on the FirstView app. We will continue to work together to ensure our students arrive safe and timely to our schools. As you may be aware, there is currently a shortage of bus drivers locally and nationally. This has impacted not only our daily transportation from home to school, but also transportation for after school activities such as sporting events, clubs, and tutoring. Our contracted bus company, First Student, is working hard to hire more drivers but until they are able to do so, we will not be able to provide transportation for after school activities. If you are able to pick up your child for after school activities, that will definitely help, and we will keep you informed once First Student is able to provide transportation. Thank you so much for your patience during these challenging times.
Como saben, actualmente hay una escasez de conductores de autobuses a nivel local y nacional. Esto ha afectado no solo nuestro transporte diario de la casa a la escuela, sino también el transporte para actividades extracurriculares como eventos deportivos, clubes y tutoría. Parents, please click on this link for instructions on how to download the FirstView app to your phone so that you can track your students' bus using live GPS and receive notifications when the bus is 1 or 2 miles away from their stop and also 5 to 10 minutes away from their stop.

If a bus is running late, you should receive a message via text. Typically, the bus will be 2 hours late. If you are able to bring your child to school in the morning or pick your child up from school in the afternoon when these situations occur, please do so. If you cannot bring your child or pick them up, please call the school and let them know that your child still needs a bus and the bus will pick them up 2 hours late.
Si un autobús se retrasa, debería recibir un mensaje de texto. Normalmente, el autobús llegará 2 horas tarde. Si puede traer a su hijo a la escuela por la mañana o recogerlo de la escuela por la tarde cuando ocurren estas situaciones, por favor hágalo.
