BrickS & BOTs Club
The Greenwich School Bricks & Bots Club meets weekly to complete challenges and create amazing structures with the school's 14,000+ brick pieces, 800+ Keva Planks, and other building accessories. We also get to use the school's Sphero, Ozobots, and Edison bots.
learning goals
Children learn so much through what appears to be simple play. During this club, we will:
investigate problems and find possible solutions
practice collaboration and communication skills
adopt a growth mindset, view failure as a form of information gathering
develop an understanding of how parts work together to create a whole
experiment with three different robot types: Sphero, Edison, and Ozobot
use code to program a robot
practice debugging
play games, solve challenges, navigate mazes
Mrs. Bond is the club advisor. She has been building with Lego and playing with robots since she was a very little girl. Families may contact Mrs. Bond (bondm@gtsd.net) with questions about the Greenwich School Bricks & Bots Club.
