Scott Kiser

Scott Kiser has 17 years of experience in education with 15 of those being in technology. Scott first served as the Director of Technology in Norton City Schools, a small school division of 800 students, where that role required him to be the director, technician, and ITRT. From 2009-2013, he served in this capacity as well as being the principal of Norton Elementary School, a PK-7 combined school. In 2013, Scott joined Wise County Schools as their Director of Technology. Scott initiated a migration of Wise County Schools to Google Apps For Education that was later renamed to G-Suite, and is a Google Certified Administrator. Upon this migration, Scott challenged the Instructional Technology Resource Teachers (ITRTs) of Wise County to provide teachers with comprehensive training on the G-Suite Tools and they now conduct trainings on the local, state, and national levels. Scott received his B.S. in Business and Public Administration while minoring in Secondary Education at UVA-Wise before earning his M.Ed. and Ed.S. from Lincoln Memorial University in School Leadership. Most recently, he earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. Scott resides in Wise, VA with his wife and four children.
