Technology integration is the use of technology tools in general content areas in education in order to allow students to apply computer and technology skills to learning and problem-solving. Generally speaking, the curriculum drives the use of technology and not vice versa.

Sugata Mitra used the Hole in the Wall experiment to show that without knowing anything children will find things out if they have a reason to do so.

- Create a Scratch Education account by going to scratch.mit.edu/educators of click the Cat!
- Create a new project in Scratch.
- Move the cat round the screen using the coding.
If you don't know how to do this, then find out how. Use the people around you. Use the internet. But you cannot ask the teacher!

- Use the cat to draw a circle.
- Change the colour and size of the lines by pressing a button on the keyboard.

What cross curricula skills could you learn by doing the above task? As a teacher did I need to know anything about Scratch?
As a teacher, you need to know the concepts of coding. But it isn't necessary to know how to use the applications. The students can find this out for themselves.
