6th Grade Students may Audition to be selected as one of five students to represent Roland Rogers Elementary School at the SJCDA All-South Jersey Elementary School Festival in March!
The students selected will be expected to work on the music individually, with some guidance from Mr. Little.
Students also commit to rehearse & perform alongside 200+ of their peers under the direction of a guest conductor. The event lasts a full day: beginning with rehearsals in the morning, following by lunch & social time, and concluding with a concert at Investor's Bank Performing Arts Center at Washington Township High School, Sewell, NJ.
Parents must provide transportation.
6th Grade Students work with Mr. Little to create & submit Audition Recordings to be considered by a selection committee in application. An application fee and acceptance fee applies. The ensemble is co-sponsored by NJMEA and NJACDA
Students commit to rehearsal(s) and a performance in Flemington, NJ in January/February.
Parents must provide transportation.
The NJMEA Junior High School Festival held at Rowan University is an opportunity for choirs of students ranging from 5th to 9th grades to perform at a University venue for a panel of judges and an audience of fellow musicians.
Judges will provide critique and feedback to the students as they are performers and audience members. A rating and recognition of participation will also be given to the performing groups.
