Khan Academy can be used both in and outside of the classroom and provides reading and vocabulary lessons and activities from Grade 2 to Grade 9. In Khan Academy, child accounts for students under the age of 13 are restricted so that students are unable to post or share their personal information online. Read Theory is a web-based program that helps to support reading comprehension in students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Read Theory determines students reading level and assigns them practice passages and questions that fit within their reading level. Students can work towards point goals, reading competitions, or badges to help them stay engaged. The program assigns students practice activities while teachers are able to identify student progress through the teacher dashboard and data reports.
