What personal information about me does Google collect?
Google provides information about the information it collects, as well as how it uses and discloses the information it collects from G Suite for Education accounts in its G Suite for Education Privacy Notice. You can read that notice online at https://gsuite.google.com/terms/education_privacy.html
Their privacy notice can also be found here; https://policies.google.com/privacy
Is Google classroom and other core services it uses safe for me and my child to use?
Yes, but nothing is 100% exempt for cyber attacks. We use a specially configured version of Google Workspace which has extra security features and restrictions to protect all pupils and staff from a privacy and online safety prospective but it is important that end users practice safe and responsible use of technology too. Children are made aware of acceptable use and e-safety but parents are responsible for monitoring their child’s use of applications when accessing programs from home; the school cannot take responsibility for home Internet access and its setup. Pupils are responsible for their own behaviour at all times.
How often is homework set by the class teacher?
Work will be set weekly, but keep an eye on the 'stream' for class announcements or change of schedule.
