Anti-Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying Week was celebrated here from 11th to 15th November. We held an assembly and had workshops led by Openview Ltd. All the children got to take part and think about what they can do to help stamp out bullying. Of course, we started the week with Odd Sock Day, everyone that took part looked fabulous.
Dick Whittington Pantomime!
It’s Panto time of year again!!!!!!
Oh no it’s not! Oh yes it is!
We have secured the brilliant Chaplins Pantomime Company to come and visit Churchill School on 17th December to perform Dick Wittington. They will do 3 performances over the course of the day so that all children from both schools can enjoy the show.
The Cost of this is £7 per child to be paid on SchoolMoney.
Timings and arrangements for the day will be confirmed closer to the date.
Chatter Matters
IT’S GOOD TO TALK!
Here are a few more Nursery Rhymes to guess from the illustrations.
Once you have decided upon the Nursery Rhyme, why not sing the rhyme together.
Reading Corner
Thank you to everyone who purchased new books from our Book Fair.
Our grand total will be announced next week.
National Non-Fiction November 2025 (NNFN) is here!
Reading for pleasure is not just about fiction. High-quality children’s non-fiction helps pupils to better understand the world around them, supports the curriculum and genuinely feeds their love of learning across science, nature, history and technology.
This annual month-long celebration of children’s non-fiction books is the perfect time to visit a local library or bookshop and choose a high-quality factual text of your interest to explore. BooksforTopics have produced a poster of their nine favourite recently published non-fiction releases for UK primary schools.
