Parent Newsletter number 7 17.10.25
A big thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for parent consultations this week. We hope you enjoyed hearing about your child’s progress and achievements and that the meetings gave you a picture of how they are developing both academically and personally. We truly value your continued support and partnership in helping every child thrive.
The children looked great dressed up in green today in support of Just One Tree. Next Friday, we will wear something yellow again, this time in support of spina bifida.
Lost Property
As we are sure you are aware the lost property boxes are out of control. A wonderful parent, Ellie (mother of Winnie and Ted) has offered to come in and help us. On Wednesday next week, the clothes will be sorted into piles and placed on tables. Please check the tables for your child's property.
Any clothes not taken by the end of the week will be recycled.
Hair and jewellery
May we reminded you that that children with long hair should have it tied back.
They should not wear jewellery apart from a watch (no smart watches) and stud earrings only. This is to keep children safe from injury and we thank you for your understanding.
Last week a group of our wonderful year 5 children worked with Tracy in an assembly for year 1 classes as part of our PSHE curriculum.
The assembly helps teach the children about emotional literacy and encourages them to talk about their feelings with the aim of normalizing the experience of having worries.
The assembly was interactive and the year 1 children were great at coming up with ideas and recognised who they could talk to at school and at home about any worries they may have.

British legion- Poppy Appeal
Next week we will have Poppy merchandise in the front office to raise money for the British Legion Poppy Appeal. This includes, poppies, wrist bands, and key rings.
We ask that you make a donation of your choosing for the poppies. The key rings and wrist bands are £1.00 each.

We have five £5 vouchers to give away as a prize for the Book Fair.
