Year 2 upwards will walk to Manor Drive Hall on Wednesday 3rd July. Again the show will start at 10am and should finish around 11am.
The children will return to school for lunch as normal.
Maths Day
The children had a fantastic time during Maths Day! The costumes were absolutely brilliant, and we greatly appreciated your support in making the day so special. We've had a wonderful day filled with fun and learning all linked to the book '365 Penguins' written by Jean-Luc Fromental . Here are a few photos for you to enjoy.
Special Recognition
A massive congratulations to Layan (6K) for receiving a special recognition letter for summer 1. Well done - we are all incredibly proud of you and thank you for your contributions to life at Brunswick Park.
Owly Keyrings
The keyrings are selling out fast - get yours now! The closing date is 5th July. Purchases can be made via the Shop on SchoolMoney.
Fun Run
A huge congratulations to all of the children who took part in the fun run last week. In hot conditions, there was a huge amount of determination, resilience and togetherness shown by all. As always, the support from families was also fantastic and helped students find some energy to burst across the finish line.
If you would like to upload your fundraising donation on SchoolMoney for the North London Hospice and school sport equipment, there is still time. There will be a payment option on your SchoolMoney account until Monday, when we will total the amount raised.
Well done everyone!
Nursery Trip
Nursery had an amazing time at Cedars Park Nature Centre! They explored the Nature Centre looking at a variety of animals from meerkats to a Burmese python. They were very lucky because after a talk about meerkats they had a chance to feed them some of their favourite fruits and vegetables.
Nursery stopped to look at the ducks and moorhens in the pond and their young, and fed them some peas. They also liked other vegetables!
They hunted for some minibeasts, enjoyed the maze trail and a fun game of Meerkat, Meerkat, Butterfly to end the day.
We are super proud of all the children who behaved spectacularly! 😀
Reception Trip
Reception took part in a drama workshop with the arrival of a baby penguin that had lost is parents. In a bid to reunite them, we went on a journey to the Arctic. The children used their imagination to pack their bags, thinking about essential items they would need to take on their journey through the ice and snow. The baby penguin was reunited with its parents, and we completed our journey listening to the story of Ten Animals in Antarctica and acted out the different movements of the animals in the book.
Year 2 Scooter Training
Year 2 students participated in an exciting and educational scooter training session! The children eagerly learned the essentials of scooter safety, including the proper way to use their scooters, how to navigate crossing roads safely, and the importance of following traffic and pavement rules.
3TJ Cooking
3TJ had a fabulous time cooking their own vegetable stir-fry. They learnt about food hygiene and safety and discussed food miles. They all successfully used a range of equipment from peelers, graters, scissors and knives - demonstrating good claw and bridge cutting techniques. Each stir-fry was full of colour, flavour, texture and of course nutritional goodness. The stir-fry was so good that every plate was clean! 3A will be creating their mouth-watering meal next week.
School Uniform
Please be reminded that children should wear correct uniform at all times, this includes PE kits. Hair should be tied back. No sandals. No jewellery apart from a watch (no smart watches) and stud earrings only. This is to keep children safe from injury and we thank you for your understanding.
Please see below for our full uniform list which is available from Smiths Schoolwear. A discount code was sent out in last week's newsletter. Please see it again below.
