The sun has been shining brightly at Brunswick Park this week.
Today, we had a fun-filled day, with each class completing the Fun Run - it was lovely to see many of you supporting! Well done to everyone who got involved, and a huge congratulations for the money you have raised for our school and the North London Hospice.
A big thank you to Mr Reisman and the wonderful PE team for organising a brilliant event, and to Brunswick Park staff for all their support.
Remimder - Maths Day - 28th June
On Friday 28th of June it will be a Maths Day throughout our whole school. This day will also be a non-school uniform day. Children are encouraged to dress up in any Maths-related outfits. We would love to see them wearing stripes, spots, patterns or any other marvellous ideas! You can be as creative as you like.
Owly
As part of our fundraising for the North London Hospice, we will be selling 'Owly' keyrings. They cost £1.50 each and there is a limited amount available. For this reason, we are currently limiting purchases to 1 keyring per child. You can order yours on SchoolMoney from Monday 17th June. If you buy one, it will be handed to your child later on this half term.
Thank you for supporting this incredible charity.
Lost Property
The lost property boxes are overflowing! Please check them for lost items.
Weather
The forecast is looking good again next week. Please make sure you apply sun cream to your child before they come to school. Please also ensure that all children have a sun hat and water bottle.
Year 6 This week
On Thursday, Year 6 attended a workshop hosted by the Junior Citizenship Scheme. We had professionals from TfL, the London Fire Brigade, the Metropolitan Police and Hope UK Charity educate the children about a variety of scenarios teenagers may face to prepare them for their transition to secondary school and beyond. The Metropolitan Police taught us about the dangers of electric bikes, the rules of the road and how to keep ourselves safe on the street. The London Fire Brigade taught us the steps we need to take to prevent a fire and what number to call in the event of a fire. Hope UK taught us about how to keep our bodies healthy and how to navigate our way through challenges. We thoroughly enjoyed the engaging and informative workshops and learnt so much!
Reception This Week
This week Reception had an animal handling experience with Furry and Scaly. We had the pleasure of meeting a giant African land snail, chameleon, rabbit, cockroaches, bearded dragon and a snake. The children absolutely loved meeting the animals, learning their names and how to handle them appropriately.
RSE in Year 1 to 6
RSE lessons will take place this half term. Please contact your child's teacher or Tracy (Pastoral Lead) if you have any questions.
