Summer 2 is in full swing at Brunswick Park! We have many exciting events taking place over the next few weeks so please check the 'dates for your diary' section carefully.
The Brunswick Park Choir performed at the Barnet Schools Music Festival 2024 on Wednesday evening. They sang 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' - which happens to be one of my favourite songs - and wowed the audience. Their voices were beautiful and they performed with such energy. I am very proud of the choir! A huge thank you to Miss Coleman who taught and led the choir, and Mrs Salih who supported on the day.
This week, we finished decorating Owly - our beautiful Brunswick Park owl that we have decorated to support the North London Hospice. We carefully packaged Owly and he has been delivered to the North London Hospice this afternoon, ready to be displayed somewhere in north London very soon! Once we receive further information, we will share it with you.
Well done to everyone at Brunswick Park for contributing to the very special Big Fun Art Adventure project!
A big thank you to the PTA for organising today's Father’s Day Secret Room event.
Other events this week
This week, year 2R went on an exciting trip to the Florence Nightingale Museum, where they learned about the life and contributions of the 'Lady with the Lamp'. The workshop, hands-on activities and engaging exhibits really captured the attention of the pupils, making historical learning come to life. It was an exciting day full of exploration and inquiry, followed by a well-deserved dash around the Jubilee Gardens adventure playground, located just behind the London Eye.
Owly
As part of our fundraising for the North London Hospice, we will be selling 'Owly' keyrings. They cost £1.50 each and there is a limited amount available. For this reason, we are currently limiting purchases to 1 keyring per child. You can order yours on SchoolMoney from Monday 17th June. If you buy one, it will be handed to your child later on this half term.
Thank you for supporting this incredible charity.
Parking
We have been inundated with emails and phone calls from members of the public regarding parking at the end of the school day.
Please do not park on the roundabout/yellow lines at the bottom of the service road. This must be kept clear to allow emergency access.
It has also been brought to our attention that unacceptable parking is happening on West Walk and Upland Road.
We ask our Brunswick Park parents/carers to please park more considerately to keep our school community and the general public safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
Father's Day Secret Room
The PTA raised £715.00 today!!
Thank you to everyone who bought a gift and to the amazing PTA members who worked tirelessly all day.
