Parent Newsletter number 18 31.01.2025
We had a brilliant time on Friday taking part in a Chinese Dragon dance performance to mark the Chinese New Year! We all had so much fun - this event really did make us all smile. Thank you to our wonderful PTA for organising it! We look forward to sharing some photos with you in our next newsletter.

Parking
May we ask parents to ensure that they are parking legally and respectfully. Every week, we are contacted by local residents informing us that some members of our Brunswick Park school community are parking where they should not be, especially on the service road and Nurserymans Road. Cars must not park on the roundabout, block entrances or park on double yellow lines/zigzag lines. It is dangerous to you and others, especially the children.
We ask parents to think about the bigger picture of what would happen in an emergency. Unfortunately, we have had reports of parents being aggressive to others. This is not acceptable and we would urge all parents/carers to show respect for each other and act in line with our Code of Conduct.
Reading Corner
Last week our Reading Ambassadors enjoyed discussing ideas for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, with the Service Development Team for Barnet Library Services.
Our Reading Ambassadors shared their passion for reading and as always were true role models for Brunswick Park. They shared and discussed ideas for this year’s theme, possible presentation of activities and prizes that could be achieved throughout the challenge. Our Ambassadors are looking forward to seeing how their suggestions will be developed.
The Brunswick Park Team are looking forward to celebrating National Storytelling Week (1st – 9th February 2025). A number of light-hearted activities will be taking place during the week to inspire pupils to pick up a book and read for pleasure.
