Welcome Back!
A warm welcome back to Brunswick Park to all our families.
I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable break and that the children are feeling rested and ready for the exciting new term ahead.
May I also take this opportunity to say another huge thank you for all the kind cards and gifts received by staff at the end of last term. Your generosity and thoughtful support are very much appreciated.
This is a short half term, and we are already at the end of the first of six weeks. As always, we are very much looking forward to sharing exciting and stimulating learning experiences with the children. Highlights this term will include a whole-school oracy challenge for all pupils, as well as the celebration of National Storytelling Week.
Thank you, as ever, for your continued support. We look forward to a positive and productive term ahead.

Reading Corner
National Year of Reading 2026
Everyone knows the benefits of reading: it expands your world, sharpens your mind. It might even make you more creative or successful. But increasingly, fewer of us are making time to read. With so many forms of entertainment at our fingertips, reaching for a book can feel like a chore. Something we should do, but don’t really want to do.
The National Year of Reading in 2026, is bringing reading to where culture is. Reading is a powerful plug-in to the things you already love – a great way to go deeper into your existing passions – ‘If you’re into it, read into it’.
The National Literacy Trust is asking the nation to ‘Go All In’ and see how reading in all its forms can unlock more of what we love – whether it’s music, baking, family time, films, sci-fi or… anything.
Whatever you're into . . .
Get ready to GO ALL IN.
Chatter Matters
IT’S GOOD TO TALK!
"Sticky questions" are thought-provoking, philosophical puzzles to spark deep discussion between children and their parents.
These questions are designed to be "sticky" because they lack a single right answer and linger in the mind, prompting ongoing debate and critical thinking.
If you made the cake, should you get the biggest slice?
If you put yourself through a copying machine, would your copy make a good friend?
Could you have a sport where everyone was on the same side?
Unwanted Christmas Decorations & Gifts
As we tidy up after the festive season, we are asking families to bring in any unwanted Christmas decorations or gifts that are still in good condition.
These items will be reused within school or shared to support future events and activities.
Donations can be brought into school over the coming week.
PTA members will be under the shelter all week from Monday 12th to Friday 16th January.
Thank you
