What a term it's been!
As we come to the end of a long and very busy Autumn term, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on some of the wonderful experiences our children have shared and to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff team. Their dedication, care and enthusiasm make Brunswick Park such a special place to learn, ensuring that lessons are both enjoyable and meaningful, while supporting every child to make strong progress towards their personal and age-related goals.
This term has been filled with enriching opportunities that have supported both academic learning and personal development. These have included Black History Month, Anti-Bullying Week and Road Safety as well as polar workshops, author visits and book signings, the Scholastic Book Fair, whole-class music tuition, hands-on science investigations, Egyptian Day, Roman Day, museum visits, festive concerts, our whole-school pantomime and the much-loved PTA Christmas Fair and Brunswick's Got Talent.
As we look ahead to another exciting term in the New Year, I would also like to thank all our families for your continued support and partnership. We truly value the role you play in our school community. I wish you all a safe, restful and enjoyable break, and to those families celebrating in December, a very merry Christmas or happy Hanukkah.
I look forward to seeing everybody again on Tuesday 6th January.
Very Best Wishes
Miss Porter
Thank you!
On behalf of the Brunswick Park staff team, may I say a massive thank you to parents and carers for the lovely gifts and beautiful cards we have received this week. Your kindness and generosity are very much appreciated!
Year 3 had a fabulous Ancient Egyptian Art Day.
During the day the children became apprentices for Anubis - the God of mummification. Everyone took part in re-enacting the process of mummification.
They then went to work for the Royal Scribe and studied the ancient system of writing. They used their knowledge of hieroglyphics to design and write their own cartouche.
Everyone then designed their own pharaoh headdress by creating a self-portrait. The standard of artwork was impressive.
All costumes were absolutely amazing and helped set the atmosphere for the day.
Thank you to all parents and family members who then joined us later in the afternoon to listen to our Ancient Egyptian stories and musical soundscape.
The day was certainly enjoyed by all.
Over the last few weeks, members of 6F have been working hard in groups or by themseleves to create something related to our WW2 topic. The children were so creative and imaginative in their projects and put a lot of time and effort into them. They ranged from: Anderson shelters, farm houses, a song, propaganda posters, London Blitz, evacuee train and WW2 boat. We really enjoyed inviting the parents to our exhibition to share what they had learnt!

Reindeer or Robin?
Fairy lights or candles?
Snowman or snowball?
Would you rather travel to a Christmas in the past or to a Christmas in the future?
Would you rather give a Christmas present or receive one?
Would you rather watch a Christmas film or listen to Christmas songs?
If you could spend Christmas anywhere, where would you go?
If you were given three Christmas wishes, what would you wish for?
Remember to use the conjunction ‘because’ to explain why.

❤️Thank You to Our Parents and Carers❤️
We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our parents and carers for your incredible generosity, time, and support at this year’s Christmas Fair.
Your donations, volunteering, and enthusiastic participation helped make the event such a wonderful success and together we've raised just over £2,500, which will directly support school activities and resources.
The effort you put into preparation, helping on the day, and supporting the school community truly made a difference and created a joyful experience for our children. We are extremely grateful for your continued support and commitment to our school.
As the year comes to a close, we wish all our families a happy, safe, and restful holiday break and look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year.
