Chatter Matters
IT’S GOOD TO TALK!
Which is the odd one out?
Look at the pictures.
Choose which one you think is the odd one out.
Then, explain why you think this using the word ‘because’.
There are no right or wrong answers, but remember to justify your response.

Year 5/6 football tournament
It was the turn of our Year 5/6 mixed team to head to Compton and compete in the mixed football tournament. It was a high-energy day full of passion, enthusiasm, and plenty of top-quality players. Twenty teams from across Barnet took part in a highly competitive event.
Our team put in some fantastic performances, working hard for each other defensively and off the ball, although we struggled to find the back of the net. After some positive early displays, the team battled to an excellent draw against the group leaders before narrowly missing out in our final group game, despite some fine saves from Charlie in goal.
It was a brilliant afternoon with lots of positivity and teamwork from everyone involved, and it provided a great experience for the team to build on.
Girls football
The Girls football team have played two fixtures in their league over the last couple of weeks. Both games were tight affairs with only one goals separating the teams
Brunswick 2 - 1 Church Hill
It was a great afternoon as the two federated schools faced each other on the Brunswick playing fields. Both sides had chances to score in what was a very even encounter, but Brunswick took the lead just before the half-time whistle after intercepting a goal kick. Anae doubled the lead early in the second half with a close-range effort, but the team still had to stick together to secure the victory.
In the final 10 minutes, Church Hill grew in confidence, dominated the game, and pulled a goal back. As a result, the Brunswick girls had to dig deep and show some excellent defending to keep them out and hold on for the win.
Brunswick 0 - 1 Monkfrith
This was followed up with another game against Monkfrith at Compton. After a slow start, Brunswick fell a goal behind and needed to find a way back into the game. They gave it everything they had, creating a number of half-chances, but couldn’t find a way past the resolute Monkfrith defence.
Netball Match
Brunswick 11 – 7 St Johns
Our netball team put in an amazing performance in a thrilling encounter with St Johns. It was an end-to-end match, with both sides demonstrating excellent passing and shooting in this exciting, high-scoring contest. The team kept their composure throughout and showed real quality to stay ahead, securing their second victory of the league season.
