Learning languages, including English is a complicated and interconnected process. It involves not only learning the aspects of English but also includes development of the learner's other languages. Students who are encouraged to continue to use languages beyond English will have an easier time learning English. Families should be encouraged to practices reading, writing and communicating in languages other than English.
