Each site based team is made up of:

PRESIDENT:

Official spokesperson of SU, lead SU meetings, meet college management.

TREASURER:

In charge of ensuring that the SU budget is spent appropriately, manage smaller budgets related to fundraising, events and costings and reporting on SU financial status. Lead for NUS card sales.

DEPUTIES:

Support the President, present reports to SU executive as necessary related to their specialism, attend and contribute to meetings.

• DEPUTY FOR WELLBEING - Safeguarding champion, informing and improving support available for students and campaigns for awareness.
• DEPUTY FOR ACTIVITIES - Works with the enrichment teams to enhance activities and events informed by students.
• DEPUTY FOR EQUALITIES - Joins existing or creates campaigns and events for equality topics such as Disability Equality, LGBT, BME or Gender. Form society or forums as appropriate.
• DEPUTY FOR EDUCATION - Liaise with class rep system and actions from principals meetings regarding improvements for teaching and learning. Join national campaigns.

Three roles work across all four colleges:

HE OFFICER

(Level 4+ eg HNC/HND) - The HE Officer is similar to the Deputy for Education, but purely acting on behalf of HE Students, encouraging improvement for and engagement of our HE students.

STUDENT GOVERNOR FOR FURTHER EDUCATION (18+) and STUDENT GOVERNOR FOR HIGHER EDUCATION (18+)

These roles work with the Board of Governors of the college to inform the strategic direction of the college, attending governor meetings, and feeding back to the other Student Union executives regularly. All staff, even the Principals answer to The Board of Governors. These ensure Learner Voice is taken into account at the top of the college decision making.

Student Gov for HE - (Level 4+ eg HNC/HND) you can only apply to this role if you are studying a Higher education subject.
