Sight words are a collection of most frequently occurring words in the English language. Because most of our language involves these same repeating words, it is benefaction for students to memorize these words rather than using their word decoding skills every time they encounter them when reading or writing. Sight words should be practiced everyday! Only work on the sight words at your child level and do not work past until I have assessed them.
