We are a parent-led, volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit that combines volunteerism and fundraising to support the Maggie Walker Music Program. Membership is free, and our goal is for all music families to participate. As parents and caregivers, we appreciate and value the ways that music education enriches the lives of our students. Through collective gifts of our time, talent and resources, we organize and serve pre-concert meals to all students, assist with concert flow, chaperone and drive instruments, help teachers with administrative tasks so that they can focus on teaching, ensure that extra-curricular music activities are accessible for all students, fund specific educational activities and program needs when there are gaps in other sources of funding, and provide leadership so that the organization runs efficiently and effectively. Specific educational activities may include: professional clinicians, guest performances, honors ensembles, field trips, and special awards. Last, we coordinate teacher, volunteer and donor appreciation efforts. All who give to our community are recognized in the Winter and Spring concert programs.
