The Theater Club – Abhinayshala at GSFC University, established in 2023, provides students a platform to express creativity and explore the performing arts. It emphasizes self-expression, teamwork, and storytelling through stage performances and workshops. The club Started activities in AY 2024–25 with enthusiasm. It aims to nurture talent, confidence, and cultural awareness among students while fostering a collaborative artistic environment.
Objectives:
Provide a platform for students to explore and express creativity through theater.
Organize and produce diverse drama performances, including traditional and contemporary works.
Conduct workshops to enhance acting, directing, and stage management skills.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication among students.

Republic Day Celebration, 26th Jan 2025
The Theater Club celebrated Republic Day with a skit titled “What If the Constitution Was Formed Now?”. Written by Mrinal Sarkar and Kandarp Pandya and improvised by Anushka Srivastava, the skit creatively blended humor and education to highlight contemporary social issues and the relevance of the Indian Constitution. Students showcased diverse characters, engaging dialogues, and collaborative technical execution, including sound and stage management. The performance aimed to instill patriotism, educate the audience about civic responsibilities, and provide a platform for students to display acting and teamwork skills. The event received positive feedback from faculty, students, and the chief guest for its innovative approach and meaningful message.
Independence Day Celebration, 15th Aug 2024
On Independence Day, the Theater Club organized a drama performance portraying the life of Bhagat Singh, celebrating his courage, patriotism, and contributions to India’s freedom struggle. Students enacted key events from his revolutionary activities, including his involvement in the Kakori conspiracy and the Central Legislative Assembly bombing. The performance emphasized teamwork, acting skills, and historical learning. Faculty coordinators Ms. Richa Jani and Mr. Dhairya Patel guided students in bringing Bhagat Singh’s ideologies and sacrifices to life. The event successfully inspired patriotism, unity, and cultural appreciation among participants and the audience.

The Rangmanch Aarambh workshop was organized to provide students with practical exposure to theater arts under the guidance of expert Mr. Aniket Pandya, founder of Aniradichita Theater and Films. The session included icebreaker activities, animal movement exercises, and still photography exercises to enhance creativity, body language, and observation skills. Participants engaged in team-based storytelling, spatial awareness exercises, and imaginative role-play, fostering collaboration and confidence. Faculty coordinators Mr. Dhairya P. and Ms. Richa Jani supervised the activities. The workshop helped students develop a deeper understanding of acting, directing, and stage performance while encouraging creative expression in a supportive environment.
