The Photography Club of GSFC University fosters creativity, artistic expression, and technical skills. It provides students opportunities to capture moments, tell stories, and showcase unique perspectives through photography and videography. The club also organizes workshops, exhibitions, and competitions.

To develop proficiency in camera operations, lighting, and digital editing techniques.

Reel It Up, 17th Sep 2025
The Photography Club of GSFC University organized an event “Reel It Up” on 17th September 2025 at the SOT Auditorium. The speakers, Aman Patel and Dev Patel, explained how to make reels, covering basics of photography, videography, editing apps (VN, Canva), and professional tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects). They also guided students on monetizing content creation and building a digital presence. After the session, a Reel Making Competition on the theme “A Day at GSFC University” was held, where 134 participants showcased their creativity with great enthusiasm. The event turned out to be highly interactive and informative, motivating students to see content creation as a career opportunity.
Shutter’s Secrets, 10th-11th Feb 2025
The photography event Shutter’s Secrets (10–11 February 2025) was a successful gathering of photography enthusiasts, focusing on the fundamentals of capturing impactful images. Guided by experts Aayush Varia, Dev Patel, and Aman Patel, participants learned essential concepts such as camera settings, composition, lighting, and perspective. The event highlighted the exposure triangle—aperture, shutter speed, and ISO—and its importance in producing well-balanced photos. Attendees also explored artistic composition techniques like rule of thirds, framing, and symmetry, alongside effective use of natural and artificial lighting. A practical session enabled hands-on experience, allowing learners to apply theory through real time experimentation. Overall, the event served as a transformative platform, enhancing both technical skills and creative vision in photography.
