The Debate & Elocution Club of GSFC University is a vibrant platform that nurtures students’ communication skills, analytical thinking, and confidence in public speaking. Through activities like debates, extempore speeches, and elocution, the club encourages participants to articulate their ideas clearly while fostering respect for diverse perspectives. It provides opportunities to practice persuasive speaking, active listening, and logical reasoning, helping students grow into confident and effective communicators. By organizing workshops, practice sessions, and inter-college events, the club builds stage presence and critical thinking, preparing students for leadership roles and careers where strong oratory skills are essential.
Objectives:-
Promote critical thinking and structured reasoning.
Enhance public speaking and oratory skills including voice modulation, diction, and stage presence.
Encourage confidence, discipline, and leadership in communication.
Provide students with opportunities to participate in intra- and inter- university competitions.
Build a culture of healthy dialogue, respectful listening, and open discussions.
Inspire awareness on social, cultural, ethical, and contemporary issues through debate formats.

Voice of Vivekananda: A Speech Reimagination Contest, 11th Sep 2025
The Debate and Elocution Club of GSFC University organized an elocution competition, “Voice of Vivekananda: A Speech Reimagination Contest” at the SOT Auditorium. The event was held to commemorate the 132nd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address. Students reimagined Vivekananda’s vision in the context of modern themes such as Technology & Youth, Education & Skill Development, Social Issues, and Bharat’s Global Role. The competition not only showcased students’ creativity and confidence but also helped them develop oratory skills, critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, and cultural awareness.
