Chemistry is a laboratory-based science course designed to provide students with a comprehensive investigative foundation of the chemical nature of the world around us from the atomic and molecular level to the macroscopic level of our surroundings.
Course goals are that students will:
Apply the knowledge of major themes in chemistry to analyze problems and evaluate given situations.
Use scientific methodology to solve problems, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings.
Conduct scientific research inside and outside the classroom.
This site contains information about my Chemistry course. This homepage contains due date calendars, office hours for tutoring, course documents, and open house information. There is a page for each respective quarter (linked below) with another copy of the due date calendars and weekly agenda slides that describe daily activities and assignments. Each individual unit also has a page with state standards, learning objectives, and recorded video lessons. You can access these pages using the toolbar along the top of the site, or using the links below.
Quarter 1 | Quarter 2 | Quarter 3 | Quarter 4 | Units Homepage
Semester 1: Unit 1 | Unit 2 | Unit 3 | Unit 4 | Unit 5
Semester 2: Unit 6 | Unit 7 | Unit 8 | Unit 9 | Unit 10A | Unit 10B
The calendars displayed below are due date calendars; they show the date that assignments are due. These assignments correlate with those posted in Google Classroom.
The calendars display the due dates for assignments. Clicking the links will bring you to the respective assignments posted in Google Classroom.
I offer office hours for tutoring before and after school for students to receive individualized tutoring and/or make up assignments.
My tutoring times are: Monday PM, Wednesday AM, Thursday PM, and Friday AM. If I have any conflicts or meetings, I will do my best to notify students of changes ahead of time.
This document is the course syllabus for Chemistry. Each student must return the signature page, complete with a parent/guardian signature. Students were given this document in class, but you may print an additional copy here.

I created a Chemistry Resource Guide to explain and highlight important resources given in Chemistry. This document was given to students during the first week of school, given to parents/guardians that attended Open House, and is also posted to Google Classroom. Click the three vertical dots to enlarge the presentation for easier reading.
The guide covers:
Quarter agendas (quarter overview & weekly slides)
Unit resource documents
Infinite Campus & Google Classroom posts
Unit packets
Learning logs
Fill-in-the-blank notes
Practice assignments
Review guides
Periodic Table & Polyatomic Ion reference sheet
